I loved this story. V and Hudson seemed destined to find each other. It was so obvious they were a perfect match. McKenna James perfectly portrayed the emotions some women experience when they learn they're incapable of bearing a child. She also gave us in Hudson's response exactly the kind of hero so many of us look for.

HudsonGrowing up, I never paid much attention to my kid sister’s friend Valentina. But damn has she changed. Good book V should have realized that her cousin was behind her results she caught her looking at her file. I'm just glad everything worked out for her and Hudson they deserve it.
I enjoyed this book but there were a lot of things left unfinished. Like what happened to the money problems? How did they work out ? I just was not happy with the ending.
This story left out a lot. It doesn't tell you how Hudson's business really turns around or what the problem with it was. Didn't understand why V didn't have enough courage to take the job she was offered or to at least tell the lady she wasn't going to take it. Also why we weren't able to find out why her father treated her the way he did or if he was gulity.
This story was something! Not only do you have a tremulous romance you have daddy issues and grandmother issues, could make your head spin. I'm glad for the strong and loyal characters, that's what made the book.
Okay, it really is a great story and I don't regret reading it. It just needs some serious editing and things need to be slowed down a bit. It seems rushed.
Valentina was a spoiled rich girl who's life crumbled when her father is investigated for fraud and their bank accounts are frozen. Alone with just her friend Holly for support Valentina approaches her grandmother for help and is left with a proposition that could change her whole life. Only problem she has no idea who to ask for help. Enter Hudson, Holly's brother who's also down on his luck and is about to lose his business. What starts out as a mutual way for both of them to get cash, that they need desperately, soon turns into romantic feelings. Oh did I mention a crazy cousin thrown into the mix? Outstanding read I will be checking out the rest of the series soon!
This was such a fun read! I honestly didn't think I was going to be able to connect or like V in the beginning because she was so stuck up and mean. She ended up growing emotionally and got rid of her spoiled attitude that she really grew on me. Hudson was a trip and handled her perfectly. By the end...I was swooning over this couple!
