This was a fun book. I got pulled into it right from the start and couldn't stop reading, which was actually a problem since I had work to do. Sessi is a strong young woman who manages to save the world with her brain, her skills, and her friends. Looking forward to more.
Sessi Nilsson, an orphaned teen, discovers her family connection to the world of Norse mythology and is forced to battle the goddess Hel to save her school and maybe the world.
Since being orphaned in her freshman year of high school, Sessi has bounced around from foster home to foster home and school to school. Now at Park Sessions Prep, an elite private school in the Pacific Northwest, Sessi accidentally seems to have found her place as she goes from a Saturday detention to battling the goddess Hel in an effort to secure the not so mythological realm of Niflheim.
Sessi and the Gate to Hel is a page turning adventure for teens and adults. Join her in her heroic journey as she battles wolves, giants, and the school administration while discovering her Nordic roots and what she once thought was only mythology.
