Without Sin

Great, well planned story. Suspenseful, entertaining, edge of seat book. So many nursrey rhymes are creepy to start with, and Ms. Ford made them terrifying. Excellent!

A serial killer picked the wrong victim and activated Owen Day.

Without Sin is a very well written murder thriller with no graphic violence and very few curse words. The characters are well developed and weave well together.

A serial killer, the Nursery Rhyme Killer (NRK), has killed three people when Without Sin starts. The third victim is Andrew Welch, a preacher at a local church. NRK has made a mistake. Andrew's brother, Owen Day, a former military intelligence man, has a math brain. Observed patterns, predictive analytics, statistics are the kinds of things his brain understands. His hobby - solving cold cases. Now he wants to find his brother's killer.

Owen starts putting information together looking for patterns. The police don't want him involved. A U-tube truther complicates matters by pushing his own agenda - entertaining his followers with his discoveries and pestering the families of the victims. Add Jason, Andrew's BIL, with his 'medication' problems and Owen is fighting an uphill battle.

I really enjoyed Without Sin and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great thriller. I look forward to another book starring Owen Day.

A "WOW" crime thriller

Without Sin: an Owen Day Thriller, my thirty-third highly enjoyable read from author Rachel Ford. No matter the genre a Rachel Ford book can be counted on to be entertaining & enjoyable. A Rachel Ford read is like a visit with an old friend. This one delves into the realm of crime thrillers and appears to be the first book in a new series. “I received a free Kindle copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Dark, Engaging Suspenseful Read!!!!

I loved the unlikely hero Owen an ex military intelligence analyst! He's a loner, has PTSD, estranged from family, no friends but analyses data to find a killer. He's a good guy who helps family and has military training. The serial killer is brutal and methodical. He's given the name of The Nursery Rhyme killer for the nursery rhymes he leaves at the scene. Action packed, complex mystery with well developed characters!
