To Enchant a Highland Earl: Scottish Highlander Historical Romance

This story by Collette Cameron is very good. When your life is saved by someone you had no ideas they cared for you changes your outlook on life. I enjoyed this book very much and would recommend it to anyone.

It was well written. It was hard to put down! I was glued to the pages and after another. You get all the feels from the story!

Scottish highlander Broden had inherited and English Earldom of all things! Earl of Montford and could only ask was there not someone else in line? Of course there was distant English cousin, Edwin who could only inherit if he died. Now he was left with an estate, a widow and her five daughters to take care of!
Kendra was taking a ride to the village when, of all people, there he was, "exuding masculine grace atop Sheik, Broden's light chestnut gelding." No, he had hurt her with his comments when she was younger and had such a crush on him. She was determined to ignore how those muscular thighs and wide shoulders affected her. But then Kendra saw a man taking aim and he shot Broden!
The adventure begins and all I can say is Collette Cameron is at her best with her descriptions and words that always bring a chuckle. Her wit is beyond delightful, she truly has no equal, as she expertly combines the serious with the lighthearted to bring about a remarkable storyline that always pulls me, no yanks me in. With beloved characters, the main and additional, there is never a doubt she will leave us with a sigh as we turn the last page. Love, Love, Love.

I love reading books by Collette Cameron. Her stories never disappoint! I was totally hooked into the main characters of this one by the middle of the second chapter. These two people have known each other growing up, but have not been kind to one another. Circumstances changed in an instant. It would be enough to have a hot romance, but the danger that lurks in this story made it difficult to put down. So, I had to finish it the same day I started it. I heartily recommend this one!

Collette writes a tale that is fascinating, intriguing, and full of love. Broden and Kendra are one of those couples that just have to be together. I love the brouge and the elements of Highland scenery as well. All together it's like a mini-movie. Love the whole thing.

Book 5 is a sweet story of a young girl that adored her brother’s friend. She was broken hearted when she heard how he disrespected her. Broden was shot right before her eyes and she managed to save him and their feelings changed to romance. You will find adventures and forever love with a strange twist of guardianship to hold your interest.

Hmmm. I’m not entirely sure how I feel about this book yet. On the one hand, it was a very entertaining read. It definitely kept my interest for the two hours or so that it took to finish. I really understood how hurt the heroine would have been as an awkward teen to hear her crush say such disparaging things about her. I could even understand how the hero would have been annoyed by his friend’s younger sister following him about. What I had a harder time accepting was the fact that the author slid in about him having murdered two men. Yes, it was an act of vengeance, but that doesn’t justify it in the least. But despite that fact, this story was still compelling and worth the read. There was a lovely epilogue as well. This was the fifth in the series, but as I had only read book one, I did feel that this could be read as a stand-alone.

Collette has another winner. I don't write my review based on the synopsis. You get the just of the book from the author. How can you not love a brute turn good guy even if it is done by unforseen circumstances. You see a young lass grow into her own after witnessing her brother's bff get shot and what she does to get him help. How they work through unresolved childhood issues through the twist and turns to get the happy ever after they both deserve. So grab the book, your favorite reading spot, the beverage of your choice so you can sit back and see the story of Broden and Kendra. You won't be disappointed.
