If Ever there was a Page-Turner!
Can't wait for the next one in the series!!
I have read and enjoyed Audrey Cole before and was eager to check out this book. However, I felt that it moved too slowly in the beginning and was tempted to move on to something else. Man, I'm glad I didn't! Once I got serious about it, I couldn't put it down. Even when the battery on my iPhone was used up. I continued reading while it recharged. There are two separate on-going stories, and it will probably shock you to find out how they finally connect. I'm glad to see this is #1 in a series, as that means there will be more to love!

A suspense-filled thriller
The perp in this one is the personification of a diabolical mastermind. He manages to kill, kill, kill; and then he framed someone else, got him convicted, and executed for those crimes. Only one person suspects him, and she makes it to his hit list. Wade lived through this Hell once, even losing his partner in the takedown. Now it’s Hell2 and the bodies are falling again. Well written, it’s an edge-of-your-seat, white-knuckle read.
Fantastic!
I don’t usually write reviews but felt compelled to do so for this book. It was an excellent read and highly recommended. No unnecessary gore, no sex, no cursing. Just a good old mystery with a great twist. The author has a very engaging writing style and I am looking forward to reading books two through five in the series.

Serial killer
I am actually reading the Emerald City series of 5, and this is the first one in the series. If the others are anything like this one, it will be hard to put them down! You can read the synopsis, so I won't repeat the gist of the story. If you like serial killer mysteries, I recommend this one that takes some unexpected turns.
