It's a sweet, clean story but it feels unfinished. It's like reading half a book and finding that the rest has been lost. Very unsatisfying. The author says at the end if you want to know what happens to them, read the next book. Except the next book appears to be about Max's friend, Henry. Its all very well having a series but at least finish each person's story in each book! Very disappointing.
Serving The Prince: a Secret Identity Contemporary Royal Romance
by Lucinda Whitney and Sophia Conrad
Julie Winters’ life is simple: work and college. Her five-year life plan doesn’t allow for detours of any kind, and that includes no dating. With her family counting on the money she makes from her tips at the lodge, Julie is serious about her responsibilities. She definitely won’t let a man distract her, even when he looks like Max, a guest from Europe. But when Julie’s old car breaks down, the mysterious Max is the one to rescue her. And when she needs an archery tutor, Max volunteers for the job. Soon, they’re spending time together, and Julie likes it. Maybe a little too much.
Prince Maximilian Wolfe is in the U.S. to look for investors, not to find a girlfriend. His friend Prince Henry likes to go clubbing, but Max prefers the simple things. When he meets Julie at the restaurant where she works, he’s immediately intrigued by her beautiful brown eyes. Julie is different and genuine, and Max looks for ways to spend more time together. There’s only one problem—Julie doesn’t know Max is a prince.

This a great little short read foe the sappy romantic in me. I always like a Cinderella story and this series looks great to get my fix.
This is an enjoyable and heartwarming love story with loveable characters that will definitely have you rooting for their happily ever after.
This was a Cinderella-like story with a poor waitress college student and a prince except she didn't know he was prince right away. Julie was very stubborn at times, not wanting to accept help even when she is stranded with a broken down car and has no other way to make it to work on time. I don't know why she assumed archery would be an easy elective. I think I would have chosen fencing instead. The novella length story happens over a few weeks.
The Audible narrator has a smooth sweet tone with voice inflections and changes in all the right places. At times the narration seemed stilted, but that could be mostly due to her showing Max speaking English as a second language.
I really liked the exposition of this book; however, the rest of the plot was way to short and underdeveloped.
I liked how Julie and max got together it was very romantic. I liked how her roommate fixed her up with a dress. It was a very good clean book.
I just found Lucinda Whitney and I am so grateful I did! This is a great short read you won’t want to put down !
He is a Prince, she is a waitress going to school. This is a good story. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
