I've read this entire series, from the prequel through to Book 7. That says a lot for my liking of the characters and wanting to see what happens to each of them.
That being said, it was a hard read because of the graphic content and descriptions of abuse, murder, battles, and war. A lot of the descriptions became repetitive and I would skip over pages detailing someone killing someone, or someone's death.
I'm not sure if I would recommend any or all of the books or not.

Pretty darn good read! I didnt thimk i’d like the characters as much as I did but found it difficult to put down after the first chapter.
Grabs your attention!
Good storyline. The book grabs your attention from page one. Stretches out some of the suffering of the protagonist a bit much sometimes, but otherwise is a very interesting read. I’ve already ordered books 2 and 3!
