Delightful!
I was intrigued from the first page. Such a spunky character. I really like the choice of a skunk for a pet.

A fun start to a 10 book series
Okay, so I found this while on my hunt for free e-books and it turned out to be one of the best reads I've had in a little while.
The story was short (one afternoon's read) and entertaining. The characters very likeable: Frankie definitely being my favourite - among the dead and living.
Initially, I had a problem with how quickly Verity took to the whole 'paranormal and being stuck with a ghost' scene. But the more I read, the more believable it became (or maybe I just stopped taking everything so seriously lol).
The mystery aspect was pretty well done, in case you were wondering yes this is a story where you can follow along and piece stuff together to figure out who's guilty...sorta. Also liked the scandalous choice of love interest lol
All in all an enjoyable read and easily able to stand alone but if you're into series you'll be thrilled to know this is the 1st of 10 books outlining Verity's adventures.
