This is the first book I read in this series.
I liked the characters a lot, but its only getting three stars due to the ridiculous amount of punctuation and grammar errors. When I buy a book I have an expectation that someone has proofread the story.
I bought this book as a Kindle book. The errors made me have to back up and reread sentences too many times to understand which character was speaking.
Zane
by Susie McIver
Zane, former Navy Seal and former agent with the DEA, looks forward to an easy assignment after a long string of hard-fought cases. As a member of the Band of Navy Seals security bodyguards and rescue team, he’s dealt with his fair share of difficult clients. This new post promises to be one of the easiest yet… until he meets his client and realizes what they’re up against.
Polly is no stranger to trouble. It comes with the territory when you spend your days and nights entertaining large crowds and singing the songs they love. But nothing she’s faced has been as difficult as almost losing her niece to a man bent on destroying her. Now she must rely on a stranger to keep her safe before a hired gun ends her life.
A crazed man wants Polly dead.
Can Zane remain focused on the job or will Polly’s beauty and charms make him lose his head and jeopardize his mission?
Reviews
Could not put the book my book wish it was longer because this book is the best, great job on all of the Navy Seals book can't wait to read storm
Many thanks to the author for the digital copy of this Romantic Suspense. Read and reviewed voluntarily, opinions expressed here are unbiased and entirely my own.
Zane is a former Navy Seal and former DEA Agent. Working now as security with Band of Navy Seals, his assignment is providing security and bodyguard duty to Polly ... a singer on tour.
Someone is stalking her .. and he means to destroy her life one way or another.
When Polly and Zane first meet, it's not exactly love at first sight ... but there is an attraction and it's mutual on both sides.
This is a Romantic Suspense with a lot of heat and sizzle. There are many graphic intimate moments.
The characters are solidly defined giving them a "real" feel. Fast-paced and filled with twists and turns leads to an unexpected conclusion. Although 3rd in the series, this is easily read as a stand alone.
