The legend of the Paka Watu…
Ever since she was a young girl, Abby Lane couldn’t resist the allure of a cat shifter tribe forced to repress their beasts. On a trip to Africa, she discovers a coveted piece of information—the name the pride leader assumed when he left his home—and she traces his lineage to his descendent.
The sleeping lion…
Utah Pearce can’t keep his gaze off the woman who slips into the bar every night. Though not his usual type, she brings out the possessive instinct in him, making him battle with himself as he tries to stay away.
Mine…
Abby’s research never prepared her for the reality in front of her. The beast is waking, and Utah is changing in ways both exciting and terrifying. He’s possessive and dominant, and when he finally claims her, neither of them will ever be the same.

Wow wow wow!

This story was hot hot hot! I enjoy shifter books but this one was so unique in that the guy didn’t know he was a shifter! I thought it was very intriguing, very original. We kinda get an HEA but the storyline continues in the next book because they don’t catch the head bad guy. Loved Abby. Loved Tah!

Hot and Fast but Needs More

*****Spoilers*****

Perhaps more a 2.5 but there was too much going on and the pieces weren't really fitting together well especially in the beginning of the book. Tah had hooked up with other women before he and Abby were a thing, considering her off limits but fantasizing about her while he did it but she's always been for him since they met. Abby is chasing after a story of the lost tribe of lion spirit people and finds Tah and is all in love but it's really the dream she's been chasing and not really who Tah is himself. Abby is virginal and doesn't want to be Tah's hookup in a cheap motel for her first time only to quickly change her tune a few pages later and can't deny him.

The reasoning behind the decisions made in the book were questionable. I still don't know why Abby was caged with Tah at the beginning of the book, made no sense to me. At all because there's no mention of her purpose there. After reading the book, perhaps it's to bring the lion to the surface. Harlan was a close relative to Abby's dad but not sure how, maybe he's her uncle, but he has been following Abby across Africa and also somehow finds her at a cabin in the woods and manages to get to her despite there being several shifter people there, all with enhanced senses. How in the world did Harlan plus five other men with him do that? Nonsensical.

The story moves fast, Abby and Tah are in love and going at it like rabbits. It's definitely got some steam to it but not too much else is thought out enough to make it a better read.

It had good elements of story but got lost in the porn. So sad......I also don't like being told how long to make my review; AMAZON!

Lion men are real

Abby has been obsessed by a myth of men having a lion inside them since she was a child, she has researched all her life and she finds Tah. Tah is her destiny, but destiny is a bitch. Read about Abbys and Tahs adventure and finding ones mate. Good read, definitely want the rest of the story.

Coming alive

Abby had been searching by her whole life for a lion shifter. Tau was the man she felt was the lion shifter.

Great read; kept my attention

Nice paranormal read, with a different take on the emerging shifter. It kept my attention and I couldn’t put it down. Glad I chose the novel!

Its okay.

I may be more judgemental than i should be, as it is not my usual genre. But at least i read it to the end. So it is what it is.

Amazing plot

This was very well written. Ended up finishing it in 2 days because I couldn’t stop reading it. I guess I’ll have to check out the rest of the series now!
