Reviews
I have read MANY of Lacey's SERIES in the past and have always found them to be addicting, where I'm impatiently awaiting the release of the next VOLUME!
However, I was immediately drawn into the drama of Adrian & Theodora , meeting again after 20 years . This story was interwoven wth many nuances, with more than a jam packed bittersweet ending! Whether or not they are able to get beyond the 20 years they missed being together, can only be found out by reading this novel!
It was a great love story. I enjoyed the authors writing style, you can really understand Mia’s hesitation by reading such detailed thoughts.
Ok read.
My First, My Last was a very emotional book. Adrian and Mia had been together when they were much younger but they lived on two different continents. As much as they loved each other they knew they couldn't work because of the distance between them. It is now twenty years later and Adrian has moved to be near Mia. Unbeknownst to her he has kept tabs on Mia and knew that she was now single. She had been divorced for a year and had two children.
When Mia and Adrian saw each otherfor the first time again in a bar all those years slipped away. They each still loved the other. Adrian was a patient man. Mia had been hurt badly in her marriage . She knew, Dan, her ex-husband had been running around on her but she turned a blind eye. The day she decided to surprise him at work she was the one who got the surprise and it was not a good one. This really soured her on getting married again.
Adrian took every opportunity to show and tell Mia how much he loved her. No matter, she couldn't commit. There were many twists and turns and almost a complete roadblock. In the end love won! I loved every minute of this book and I hope you will too.
The touching and wildly romantic book about being reunited with your first love after 20 years. Mia (alias T) and Adrian run into each when he has come to Toronto for his business. Despite the years, they instantly recognize each other. She is divorced with two children, and he has never married but has a son back in Europe. Their story is full of ups and downs, twists and turns, and one gigantic bump in their road to happiness. The characters, story, and writing make this an outstanding read.
I received a copy, and I am leaving a voluntary review.
I enjoyed reading this wonderful book. It's a second chance at love. Mia and Adrian's love story. This is a light hearted story which I enjoyed tremendously
What would you do if you had another chance to be with your first love? Would you believe fate stepped in and brought you back to one another? Follow Adrian and Mia as they find their way back to one another after being apart for 20 years. I was pleasantly surprised by this unique love story that could make ANYONE believe in the Happily Ever After. Adrian and Mia were childhood sweethearts and spent the summers together since they lived on different continents. They are seperated by lifes obstacles and go on 20 years with their owns lives. Mia is divorced, still very much involved with her childrens father but will never forgive him for humiliating her by cheating. Even though he tries to get her back she is swept off her feet when Adrian comes back for her and only her. Adrian and Mia don't have the perfect ever after since it can never be quite that simple. I truly enjoyed this uniquely romanctic story.
