Amazing
Excellent!
I took a look at this book and bought without any hesitation! It is EXACTLY what I was looking for. I have seen another review for this book and the person's complaint was that it was too simple and it was suited only for a pre-school level and I disagree entirely. Sure, the 101 words themselves are simple and in fact, I knew ALL of them before I even bought the book BUT the book isn't about 101 words but it IS about the nearly 1,000 sentences presented in the book that incorporate those 101 words in English and Japanese (in Romaji, hiragana, katakana and some kanji). Seriously, more than 200 pages would be a little long for just 101 little ole' words, don't you think? This book not only helps to SPEAK Japanese, but it also is a great aid in learning to read and write hiragana and katakana. I live in Japan and the hiragana, katakana and kanji is accurate as are the romaji translation. This book is excellent and it is definitely NOT for pre-schoolers.
Not worth it
When I bought this little book I was expecting to receive some very useful verbs and common nouns. Instead I got 101 extremely basic words you might teach a pre-schooler, like cat, dog, cow, banana, and some colors. There was not a single verb.
I already regret this purchase.
