Jake placed an ad for a roommate. He was a construction worker. Strong. Dangerously hot. He didn't want to rent to a woman but when their witty banter made him uncharacteristically grin, he broke down and let her in.

Little did they know when he gave her the key it would open the door to fire.

Intrigued?

I stumbled upon this book as an ad on social media. It was a little different in the respect that Drew is older than Jake. It’s clear that the Cocker family is close knit, especially the brothers. They definitely seem to live up to their last name...being cocky, that is. But maybe, it’s more that they are secure in who they are and where they fit in. Drew is a loving person who has a plan for her life, now that she is on her way out of a bad marriage. Together, Jake and Drew navigate a relationship that neither truly admits to wanting or needing. This story did wet my appetite to read more about the brothers, so those are on my TBR.

Just enough drama

I loved it!! I like a book that keeps the laughs coming but isn’t bogged down with suspense or drama.
