Huck is one of the good guys. He is a small town boy with a big heart. He is a firefighter, he loves what he does and is ready to lend a hand when needed. Bree is new in town, her daughter, dog and her just moved a couple of weeks ago, after needing a change to her life. But after the fire, it appears more change is coming. When Huck helps a beautiful women, her daughter and her dog out of the building, fire begins to burn in his heart.
Huck and Bree's story is a short fun read, with a loving but busy mom that has no problem jumping in when needed or not. Great friends who will lend a hand at the drop of a hat. And passion, heat and love that will take you deep into the story that you can't help to enjoy.

Huck rescued Bree, 9 month old daughter Jade and dog Trouble from a third story apartment fire. With no one and nowhere to go, he brings them back to his house and calls his mom for baby stuff, who appears with everything that they needed along with his dad.
The characters were well developed, with great backstories. The tight family bonding and close friends were great support. Loved how his mom took over the baby and the wives of the friends brought cloths for Bree and took her out to the bar for a breather. Everything just went smoothly, with the feelings and emotions swelling the longer they were together. The question was perfectly timed, too. Very well done.

What happened? The story was getting good and it just ends. Talk about being unsatisfied with a book. What a waste of time.
I've read several books written by Eve London; she has done a great job at writing a good short story; she is becoming one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

I totally loved this fast paced insta love book. Bree was rescued by Huck from a burning building. He was such a good guy to do what he did for her. It all happened so fast, it seems it’ll last. Really enjoyed the passion, friendship, and helpful community.

This is a short cute fun story. Huck saves a beautiful woman from a fire and for him it is love at first sight .
When Huck completes his latest rescue mission that involves saving a woman, her baby girl and a little dog, he falls hard, super fast.
This is a cute read with heavy insta-love vibes, but it's one that I did enjoy, except for the abrupt ending. Bree & Huck have great chemistry, and the plot is a good one.
I recommend it.
This is a simple, straightforward insta-love short story. All of the characters, main and secondary, are believable and likeable. He is a really good guy and she is single with a baby and a dog. The story moves quickly, with no angst, miscommunication or OW/OM drama. They meet unexpectedly and he immediately knows she is The One. She takes a bit longer to realize that he is everything she needs and wants. The story is too short for any HEA, however the HFN is satisfying and sweet.
The writing is clear and strong, with good grammar, spelling, editing and proofreading to carry a reader along smoothly. A bit of humor and some nicely written hot times (no gross language or f-bombs strewn in every paragraph, thank-you-very-much!) make it enjoyable enough for me to read the rest of the series.
