4.50 (41 ratings)

Former rodeo star Wyatt Emmerson leads a quiet life. He's busy working with his dad and raising his daughter on his own. Romance is the last thing on his mind, but when McKenna St. Claire crosses his path, life takes a turn that Wyatt never saw coming.

McKenna doesn't sit still well; traveling the world has always been her favorite pastime. She's vowed to stay in Marietta for her family, but is ready to pack her bags as soon as her twin nephews are born. But a wounded cowboy and his young daughter steal her heart, making her question what she really wants in life. Will she take a risk on love and call Marietta her home?

Nice

Very nice story. Family is important and that's what the story is about. Boy finds girl and happy ever after.

A sweet cowboy romance

Wyatt deserves some positive things to come his way. And then Kaiti is left to live with him. She is a precious five year old, shy and quiet. But who could blame her? He may be her daddy but she never met him til now. But she wins over Wyatt’s heart and gives him a reason to feel good about life again. McKenna has traveled the world over and purposely did not try to have any serious relationships. She is pleased to be coming home to her family who all now call Montana their home. They are a close and loving family. All her brothers have found love. And all of them would like to see McKenna finding the same kind of happiness. Is this what dad, Daniel, has tried to make a reality? But can Wyatt trust that McKenna won’t want to leave and create a hole in his and his daughter’s life? Could he take that chance? A sweet cowboy story for those who love the true Montana cowboys.

Very well done…

Lovely story with just enough twists and turns to really keep those pages turning! Very believable, great characters, and, of course, a happy ending.

Characters Lacked

I didn't finish reading whole book as I felt somewhat lost in some areas and or chapters. A few of the characters seemed at a lost, there was too much said about some of there past with really isn't necessary in a novel book to have to explain about. When making a point author shouldn't beat around the bush about it and just get to it. A few positive changes to book may make a difference especially in character wise. I thought a star review 3 would suffice to be fair. I know how hard authors work to get good reviews.

Read it in one sitting

Really liked the protagonists and the strong family connections, the community support and welcoming spirit. Read late into the night to get to the HEA!

Standalone, backstory is provided

The little girl in the story is so precious. The St. Claire's are a very interesting family. It is key to buy into prior stories in the series basis that this wealthy NY family has adopted Marietta, Montana lifestyle .. with each falling in love there.

This is a really nice, clean romance. No need to skip any lusty pages.

I really liked the male in this series. The woman had a lot of growing up to do.

Great story

Wonderful romantic story as usual from this author and this series. There's nothing like Montana cowboys when it comes to romance.

Great

I couldn’t put the book down. It was so heartwarming and yet not smaltzy. The family interactions were what drew me. I think you’ll love this one too.
