The characters are pretty ordinary but definitely get into solving mysteries. This story made me want to get a cup of coffee.

This type of mugging can be deadly …
The annual River Run is a fall favorite in Stoneybrook. Participants end the race with a commemorative mug from local potter, Josie Cobb. But when one of the mugs is shattered over Josie’s ex-husband’s head and he’s found dead along the riverside trail, the sheriff is sure the potter finally snapped.
To make things worse, the dead man had flowers and an engagement ring with him, only months after the ink dried on his divorce to Josie.

Reviews
I love this series. I hope you continue writing more. They are fun and addictive. I can’t put them down.
but sadly bored me to tears. I abandoned ship halfway through the first one. Just didn't hold my interest at all.
Good read ....hooked on cozies!!!
Hadley, her BF Luke, her BFF Suz, and her twin brother Paul work on solving a murder in each book. Cute stories cleverly written with twists and turns that made it difficult to figure out whodunnit. Then one final clue is exposed and I would get an AHA moment just as Hadley would figure out who the killer was. Delightful books!
Continues to keep you reading for hours.....just one more chapter. LOL Great series to keep reading each day. Before you know it, time for the next book.
Fun characters in a quaint town where amateur sleuths regularly help out the local police in solving crimes. Thumbs up for this likeable series.
Lots of twists and turns on the mysteries and surprising person and motive at the end. Love the characters and their relationships with each other.
