Epic fantasy, with magic... To a samurai wonderland comes a young man exiled from the all-conquering steam-powered Empire of Albion. This is Emmanuel, 'Man' to friends and enemies alike. But the cold inhuman power called 'the Lord of the North' is after him and his friends. Driven from the cosmopolitan city of Jade, he and the others are seeking sanctuary at the psychic fortress known as The Waning of the Moon.
