It took to long for me to get into this story. I could not figure out the story line until almost to the end but how both of their sad tragedy end up been caused by the same persons.

Reviews
Different plot line, involving a mystic who foretells a death, which occurs. Also involving a previous death ruled a murder. Are they connected? Interesting to see how it works out. Happy ending
I never heard him addressed as a Duke in the story. It was always just his name. Totally different story from most which made it intriguing.
This is a fantastic story with great characters, romance and intrigue. There are so many twists and turns I couldn't put it down. Charlotte and Jeffrey made a great couple, but their path wasn't easy. The ending was great. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy.
I enjoyed this book, it was exciting and full of suspense. Charlotte and Jeffery were meant for each other always.
I utterly enjoyed this book. Charlotte was a determined strong woman. That she felt responsible for not preventing her cousin’s death had a deep effect on her. Jeffrey was trying to find who killed his brother. Together they were combustible and blended so well together. The book was so well written I smiled and enjoyed every minute of it. Read it straight through no interruptions.
What a wonderful steamy romance! This book was unique in the challenges that the author put her characters though. The tale was jammed packed with action and suspense and made for an interesting read. The characters were great and the extended epilogue was like icing on top of the cake. I am so happy Henrietta Harding introduced me to this author I have spent many a happy hour reading this tale.
What a wonderful read! Love the mystery, romance and the banter between the characters! Jeffery and Charlotte find themselves on a mutual journey! A search for who murders his brother and her cousin!
Overall, this was a good story and well written. However, there were no Dukes in the book. Also, why did the h and her cousin have the same last name? They were rendered cousins due to the fact that their mothers were sisters but their fathers were unrelated to one another. So why didn't they have different last names?
A story with all the elements making it engrossing - murder, danger, mystery, love and HEA! ARC free for honest review.
