Another good book in the Prosper/Melinda series. I like each book has continuity, but is it own independent interesting story. Still like Melinda's courage and spunk.
Turning Season: a novel
by Melanie Lageschulte
Melinda throws herself into plans for the rural community’s first-ever fall festival, and embraces the seasonal chores cropping up around her small farm. But her sun-dappled days are disrupted when Prosper is suddenly thrust into the spotlight. An unexpected windfall gives new life to a long-held hope, then a mysterious discovery puts everyone on edge. And as the mayor’s race heats up, Melinda discovers small-town politics can be more frightening than anything that goes bump in the night.
As the leaves change color and drift away, Melinda’s personal life is also evolving. Her new relationship appears to be on solid ground, but will clashing perspectives and shifting priorities cloud its future? Don’t miss the next installment in this heartwarming series!
Reviews
Great books, keeps your interest. As soon as I’m finished a book I order the next. It’s nice that there is a quick review of characters in previous books, but not lengthy ones. I can’t seem to put the books down
As with the other books in this series, this book is like reading the journals of friends you’ve gotten to know and you don’t wish to lose touch with them or their lives.
Love this good series keeps your attention and thinking what next? It has the twists and turns of some real life expectations
Love this series. I own all 9 e-books and can't wait to see what happens next with Melissa Foster, an independent big city girl transplant, to a small farming community in the Midwest. She learns how to rely on herself and to slow down and smell the roses. She meets Horace an elderly farmer who teaches her the importance of friendship, love and respect for family, love and loss, and so much more.
I can't believe I actually finished this book. I was stuck in the house without any way to order another. Melinda is a 40 year old spinster with her cats and dog who can't make up her mind. Two failed relationships, jumping in bed and not even loving the guy, dabbling in the paranormal, being swayed by the beliefs of friends, wishy - washy. Each book is just a little more of the same. Go to work, do the chores. Can I do it? Do I want to? Yada, yada, yada. To be honest, if it wasn't offered under kindle unlimited I never would pay to read this author. As I said, desperate times call for desperate measures. Also it was billed under Christian fiction. Nothing could be further from the truth.
I have enjoyed every book in this series so far and I’m sure the last one won’t disappoint me. I don’t know how I stumbled upon this series and author but I’m glad I did!
