The Patron is the first book in the Broken Slipper Series and Vivian Wood knows how to tell a story. Wow...This is my first book by her. I was pleasantly pleased. It’s steamy and taboo and so much more. Yet of coarse as any good author does she’s leading you into the dark then she just leaves you there. The cliffy is oh so good yet makes you oh so mad lol. Now to await The Dancer coming soon. I received a free advanced copy to read and review.
In need of an editor!!
This book would have been so much better, if the author didn't have so so many misspelled words, words added that shouldn't have been in the sentences or words missing, it really takes away from the story. I also don't care for the repeating over and over, "I bite my lower lip". This is a story about Calum and Kaia, he's a former dancer turn billionaire and Kaia is trying to make it as a ballerina. He first sees her in a stripe club and is drawn to her because he sees she has dance training, he pays her to be at his beck and call. She is trying out for the NYB company and he is a director. Calum has pass issues that haunt him and Kaia hasn't had a very good family life. The book end in a cliffhanger.
Captivating
I was absolutely captivated from beginning to end. Kaia and Calum's story is breathtaking. Kaia is a ballerina working as a stripper for reasons that will leave you shocked, and Calum is the patron that is quite taken with her looks and dancing. They start a very secretive romance that is dark and sexy. Just when things seem to be going great, Calum's past comes back to haunt him, and what happens next is devastating. I can't wait to see how their story plays out.

Kaia is a ballerina who is in need of money to continue her dream of dancing. This leads her stripping at the Club Ecstasy. This is where she meets Calum and their story starts. This does end setting us up in the next installment into their story.
