Silly stories written to lighten your day. I loved them!

If you do not like books such as these, do not read them and come on here bashing them for being exactly what they were intended to be: "Farces: a comic dramatic work using buffoonery and horseplay and typically including crude characterization and ludicrously improbable situations."

I don't understand the one and two star reviews, or the cutting remarks that are left by some of you people. Grow up already. These books were written to be exactly what they are: Silly as hell and farcical. I found them funny, and a great diversion from a great many of the other books written about that time period (which are filled with so much smut that I have to skim thorough half of the books just to get around it). Of course, the ones who left the bad reviews of THESE books probably live for the smutty romances.

Did she curtsy to the butler? Yes. It was an innocent mistake made by a country bumpkin and I thought that it was cute. Is the goat a little too much? Yes. But then, all three books are a little too much. :) That's what makes them an enjoyable read. Was Woodbead an idiot? Definitely. I would have probably shot him and hid the body. :) I have read them twice and will do so again sometime int he future when I start feeling mopey.

Too all you guys out there who take great joy in bashing something that you obviously know nothing about, pick up another hobby. Writing reviews is not something that you need to be doing.

Good read

Enjoyed the adventures of the Fairweather sisters. Fast moving, full of interesting events. Lots of interesting characters. Keeps the reader guessing even though you know the lady wins in the end.

Adorable

Quirky, funny, hilarious and yes, some romance. Personally I like the humor of the Fairweather Sisters. I’ve read books 1-3 and rate them all the same. Nice to read a book to escape “life” for a bit and get a laugh at the same time - without explicit sex scenes - which really can get old. Looking forward to reading more of Anya Wylde books.

Absurd and interminable

Even with skimming, the series took three days to get through. They might have been cute if they hadn't worked so hard at being fey and twee. The third was the best of the lot but once through was enough and I will not knowingly subject myself to Wylde again.

An easy read but not very exciting

The Fairweather Sisters series was marketed as a humorous Regency Romance. First, they were not humorous at all. I found the antics of the sisters cringey and I never laughed once. I rolled my eyes a few times. Second, I found it hard to believe that these stories took place during the Regency Era (1795-1837). I found no indication of any particular time period. If there was, it was so subtle, I missed it. Third, like most romances, you know who the heroines end up with. The predictable romances, the fall flat humor and a lack of a time period left the series lacking. One redeeming factor is they were fairly easy to read as I read all three books in one day.

Whimsical Farces All

Laughing out loud, time after time, at the silly happenings kept the pages turning lat into the night. Good fun.

A bit much

I read all 3 of the books in this series and although there were moments of laughter at antics in each book, the storyline and cadence of the books were choppy, quite fanciful, and rather silly at times. I found myself checking to see just how much was left in the book and anticipating finding something different to read, for these were just a bit to far fetched to seek out more.

Fun reading

Easy fun reading, love to read series that interact as these did
With women with personality and individuality for their era.

Good read

These books were great. Each sister is uniquely madcap. The situations they get into are at first dangerous and then comically ludicrous. They meet people that the rich would never meet in reality, and come out smelling like roses. They are so naive, yet turn the tables on the rich and royal. Highly recommend.

Fanciful romps for your vacation

When you don't want to think too hard, but fancy an amusing set of romantic tales, this might be a good choice. The plots aren't that believable, but they're fun, and love wins. Complete with 3 HEAs.
