Great book and story line love how they all stay together and stand behind each other. That is something that just don’t happen anymore. Except in the brother hood
Do opposites attract?
I recently read Striker (Lords of Carnage #11) by Daphne Loveling. Honestly, this is the very first MC novel I have ever wanted to finish. Ember (December) was a lawyer who took a complicated legal case of Tank, a member of the Lords of Carnage (MC), and his girlfriend. Tank feared possible repercussions with his girlfriend’s soon-to-be-ex husband, so he provided his lawyer a 24 hour protection detail by members of the Lords of Carnage. To say that Ember was out of her element with the guys from the motorcycle club, was putting it mildly.
Tank expected Striker to coordinate Ember’s protection detail and keep her safe. He also warned Striker that sex was “off limits” with her, or else! Striker’s communication skills with Ember were challenging at first since Ember did not want anyone guarding and crowding her independence. Clearly animosity and sparks were flying between Ember and Striker. In time, once Ember opened up about herself to Striker, he felt more comfortable and slowly let down his walls. A friendship began to grow.
Add in plot twists with Tank’s paternity case, complications with Ember’s husband she had not officially divorced yet, and Ember going on her very first Poker Run with the Lords of Carnage, the novel will keep you guessing who will survive the turmoil and who will have their happily ever after…
Love it
Daphne had created a wonderful biker family that I fell in love with on the first book. I have read all of her biker books and will continue to follow her. You won't regret reading this or any of her books.

I have read several books from this series. I found them to be mediocre with the exception of Thorn. Loved Thorn and Isabel’s story. I like my MC books to be raw, gritty and intense. I put this series in the MC light category. I didn’t hate the book but I didn’t love it. Story was enough to finish but certainly not a reread. The two main characters were likable but forgettable. Striker won’t be put on the book boyfriend list. Didn’t dislike him but he was just an average MC club member. No Deuce West, Grizz or Preppy.
Very enjoyable
I very much enjoyed the storyline and the characters in this book. It’s my first book for this author. Striker is charged with being Ember’s bodyguard. Ember is not on board with this but after a while she sees that it is needed. Twists and turns in the story make it exciting and enjoyable.
