Cute and original premise with a goodly amount of humor mixed in for flavor. Looking forward to reading the next in series.
Spicy Pickle: A Fake Engagement Romantic Comedy
by J J Knight
Then, she got us both kicked off a cooking show.
Now, we’re fake engaged.
Sit back, friends, this is one crazy tale of treachery and pickle juice.
So, a few months back I created a new pickle.
It’s spicy.
Like, fiery hot.
It went viral in a big way.
Then along comes Magnolia Boudreaux.
She’s the daughter of a rival deli. She ends up a surprise guest on a cooking show I’ve booked, insisting her pickle is hotter.
Then she shows up on another show.
Then another.
Our feud becomes legendary, until it nearly ruins both our delis.
So I do the only thing I can think of to fix the problem.
I kiss her on national television.
And to top it?
We get engaged.
We’ve got the whole fake relationship down until she buys me a pickle cactus shaped like…well, I’m sure you can picture it.
And everything after that?
I made sure that she’s not faking a thing.

Spicy Pickle is a standalone romantic comedy in the Pickle-verse about a culinary feud, potent pickles, and a white-hot lesson in what goes around, comes around.
Reviews
Very entertaining!
So where now can the Pickle Family Legacy go? From bodybuilding to celebchefdom, I suppose.
Without boring you with all sorts of review schtick, I just want to say that I really enjoyed the latest of the Pickle Clan with another Heavy Pickle Mystery — who spiked the super-hot chile pepper cucumber pickle? Nothing is worse than the wrath of a spoilt celeb chef has-been whose been embarrassed on national television with the hottest chile pepper-flavored pickle ever! Now two rivals in the deli business must settle their differences and focus their attention to protect themselves as well as their businesses from being destroyed.
Social media could never be so cruel.
Great writing. Great adventure. A great whodunit to solve. Definitely worth the read.
Read via KU. When I get the cash, I'm buying the series!
I love the Pickles! This one was my favorite of the three books. I love that you get Anthony and Magnolias side of the story. It had moments that will make you laugh out loud and a few that will pull on your heartstrings.
I don't want to give to much away but you defiantly won't be disappointed with this enemies to lovers read.
I was given an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.
when I read Spicy Pickle I had to go back and read the other two books. This was my first book by J.J. Knight but won't be my last.
Cheese headline, I know. OMG JJ did it again. The Pickle brothers are hot af, but Anthony is definitely the guy I'd want. He makes me wish I could find the One that makes me want to fall in love instantly. So excited for the next series, Tasty Mango.
Their story was adorable. Can’t wait to read about Dell because I started with the Pickles and then Donovan when that comes out.
Such a spicy cute book. I loved the fiery connections between the two! I would definitely sit down and read more from this author.
Two competing delis end up on a tv show featuring Anthony and his spicy pickle and surprise guest, Magnolia with a more tame version of the same pickle. The spicy pickle challenge has taken over Tick Tock and has increased Anthony's deli business and decreasing his competitors deli run by Magnolias family. Mongolia hopes to help her families deli but something goes terribly wrong on the show. When Anthony and Magnolia team up to solve what happen and save their delis they found LOVE . This was a funny mystery full of twist and turns.
Anthony is probably my favorite of the Pickle brothers. The family is highly competitive and clearly talented, running delis in several states across the United States. Anthony runs the New York and Denver delis and has been asked to appear on a popular cooking show. His life is good until he meets rival Denver family deli owner Magnolia Boudreaux, whose family deli business has been negatively affected by the newest Pickle location. The two enter into a pickle-off, trying to outdo each other for the best pickle recipe. While Magnolia tries to maintain her stand-offish and proud attitude when dealing with Anthony, it is hard to turn down such a great Pickle and the two agree to a fake engagement to reach mutual goals. How could it not turn into a love that will last?
This book will make you laugh out loud at random times, so beware of reading in public as people may look at you strangely. This book brings the heat, the humor, and all of the feels, so I highly recommend it and the entire series to any reader in search of their next great romantic comedy.
