This story was a little bizarre.. The demonic possession of the killer was a little far fetched. I think there was too much religious background and praying.
Reap the Whirlwind
by Jay Tepe
They say truth is stranger than fiction. I say truth and fiction met at a bar one night, were tossed out for disorderly conduct, and got into a brawl in the back alley. Then they ended up arm-in-arm singing a sea shanty on their way home together, forgetting what it was they were fighting about!
Enter REAP THE WHIRLWIND... A tornado themed book - that's a complete work of fiction - but was finished just two months before our little town of Joplin had one of the biggest twisters in US history, knocking it to its knees. And on our knees we have been... thanking God for His tender mercies every day!
Frank Hollander - the quirky but lovable protagonist from YOUR SIN WILL FIND YOU OUT - is back! He's now on the case of one of the most evil string of serial murders ever known to man - seven girls... in seven weeks... way back in 1978. Frank won't rest until he finds out who did it. Though he has some new characters along the way to help him out, his faithful wife, Mary, is right by his side. You won't rest until you get to the last chapter! Read this with all of the lights on and enjoy!
Reviews
This was an exciting read and certainly held my attention. I gave the book four stars because there were some editing issues and a few errors were missed. This was distracting. However, the storyline was good as was the writing. Jay Tepe, the author, is a good writer and I will be following him in his future writing endeavors.
This is an intriguing murder/mystery, but it is more than that. The story looks into the life of a serial killer and what things make someone commit murders. In the late seventies, seven people were murdered. the killings were nicknamed the Building Block Murders. Now, years later Frank Hollander is looking into the crimes, now cold case murders. The author takes readers into both sides of the killings and into a great tale.
Amazing story following the making of a fictional serial killer. All parents should read this to avoid creating a serial killer! Parents, family members and teachers need to be aware of the role they play in all children's lives...be firm but kind and loving...BE consistently loving and disciplined so our children grow to be well-adjusted, productive adults who are kind and respectable toward others.
This book painted a great picture of how our relationship should be with our Savior. It also shows He does not want to leave any of His children behind. He is always drawing us and giving us another chance to change. Love a quick read, it gives everything you need to understand the characters, towns, etc. without adding a ton of unnecessary imagery
At least what I read. It couldn't hold my attention so I gave up. It seemed forced and unnatural. The flow was stunted and jumping from character to character was confusing to a degree. I don't know if this was a part two or something but things were referred to as if the reader should already be aware of the background history. Not recommended.
great story
Didn't like. Couldn't get interested!
