A woman finds Raven—er, Joey—and insists on hiring her fictional counterpart to find a missing boyfriend. When someone begins staging crime scenes to match an episode of Relentless, Joey has no choice but to get involved.Joey’s bumbling sleuthing abilities have her butting heads with Detective Jackson Sullivan and kindling sparks with thrill-seeking neighbor Zane Oakley. Can Joey channel her inner Raven and unearth whodunit before she ends up totally done in? And where is her father anyway? Very good start to a series

A quick entertaining read. The characters develop at a good rate, leaving plenty of room o of further development in the following books. A light read that could be enjoyed by young and older alike.

A light cozy mystery read with a love triangle

The mystery was interesting and kept me guessing. There is a bit of a cliff hanger to entice you to buy the next book, but the main story was complete, so it didn't bother me as much as most of them.

This is more secular than most of Christy Barritt's books, so if you're looking for a deep Christian theme, you're not likely to find it in this novel. If you enjoy a light cozy mystery read with a love triangle... this one is for you.

This is not for a serious adult mystery reader.

Worst example of a mystery I’ve ever read. No character development, no crime development to investigate. I found I didn’t care about the character—too much of a cartoon. Maybe a 12-year old would like it. I hated the references to “famous people” the character adored.
How did it win any awards?

Cute Detective Story

I grew up as a HUGE Nancy Drew and Trixie Belden fan. In a lot of ways, this story reminded me of those stories. A lighthearted mystery, that had just enough suspense to keep me intrigued. But not heavy like some of the newer suspense novels can be. I can easily see myself sharing this with my daughter when she hits middle school.

Having read all of Christy Barritt’s Lantern Beach series, it was fun to start to get the backstory on Jackson Sullivan and Joey Darling. I love reading interconnected stories, and I have a feeling this series is not going to disappoint me!
