Totally charming

Never have I experienced a boss that was so down to earth. Piper was funny and believable. Total fantasy but enjoyable.

Cozy and warm, just like snuggling a dog

Paws Off The Boss is cute and endearing. It’s a bit of a fairy tale, a bit of mystery, and a whole lot of fun. Our heroine, Piper, is intent on making her own way as she fulfills her dreams, taking no handouts. Aiden is the CEO of a large company who wants to do well in business, while also being present and conscientious in life. Both have dachshunds who they love dearly, a shared affection that weaves their paths together in a desire to help the dogs at the nearby rescue center, but they find the path has unexpected tangles and turns. Sometimes putting them on the same team, while other times there seems to be something far more sinister at play.

Casey Griffin keeps this book both light, entertaining, and not 100% predictable. I look forward to reading the rest of the Rescue Dog Romance series. I would recommend this book to my friends who need a break from the pulls of real life.

To The Dogs

Piper is trying to finish veterinarian school and working multi jobs. When she loses one, she gains another by walking a dog for Aiden, who is wealthy. He wants to help her but she will not take charity so he has to be devious on that. Laughed a lot at the antics and banter. Like the characters a lot but would have liked to read more about Aidens side as it only gives Pipers. The storyline was fun with the animals and situations. Will be reading more by this author soon.

Yeah! Nah!

I thought this was going to be a nice story, started off alright, but deteriorated. For a , supposedly, intelligent person, she did some very very stupid things. Like, wouldn't you get in touch with the landlord of the business, who is also the person whose dog you walk etc, when the place is broken into. No he just' accidentally' walked in again. And all the conspiracies suddenly happening etc etc. Nah, sorry way over the top. What saved the book was some witty repartee conversations between the two main characters, that was clever

Love Dogs? Then Read This RomCom ASAP!

What an unexpectedly cute rom-com that included my favorite animal, dogs! this was such a cute story and I immediately loved the instant chemistry between Piper and Aiden. This would make for a very cute Hallmark movie. I was so excited to see that this is part of a series and I can't wait to read books 2 and 3.

Funny and Mysterious Romance

This was such a cute, funny, and romantic story. I loved how smitten Aiden was with Piper and his shyness as he dropped continuous hints about his feelings for her. They had superb chemistry with great banter and passion. My only complaint about Aiden was that I wish he had trusted Piper more. So much sadness and danger could’ve been avoided if he had just believed in her and not laughed off her misgivings.

The plot was exciting and humorous, especially the first 70% of it. The ending kind of lost steam for me, though it was still enjoyable. We didn’t get to see much of Aiden and Piper’s future, and the resolution to the mystery was a bit anticlimactic. Everything was wrapped up just a touch too quickly.

Overall, this was a wonderful romantic comedy with a nice heap of mystery. I definitely recommend this story and look forward to reading more by the author.

*I received an ARC of this novel. This is my complete and honest review.*

Cute but annoying heroine

I am always a sucker for a good animal rescue story. Piper is close to getting her veterinarian degree and works three jobs to keep afloat until she can take her final exams. She meets rich guy Aiden while deliver a singing telegram but when he adopts a pooch from the rescue where she volunteers, she ends up becoming his dog walker. A series of improbable events cause Piper to lose two of her jobs but since Piper is independent - ridiculously independent - she rebuffs any attempt by Aiden to help with her situation.

I found myself annoyed by the heroine's stubbornness when it came accepting any help from her friends. Her situation just kept getting worse, but her pride would not allow her to do anything but try to solve all the problems herself - even when they weren't really her problems! On the other hand, Aiden was a perfect book boyfriend! He kept trying with Piper, coming up with ways to spend time with her and showing his faith in her dreams.

So a cute story, with cute animals and a somewhat annoying heroine.
