Party Naked: Hot Cop Romance
by Mari Carr
It’s hate at first sight when hot cop Jarod gives cynical bartender Stephanie a ticket. So when Jarod finds himself in her bar that same evening working undercover, things go south quickly. An impromptu kiss–to keep Steph from blowing his cover–turns into a sizzling one-night stand.
Stephanie escapes the next morning, but Jarod isn’t about to let her go. He wants the sexy woman back in his bed and she’s more than worth the chase.
He’ll even pull out the cuffs if necessary.

Just when she thought her day couldn’t get worse, the cop givers her a ticket. She doubled parked fir a minute, or maybe 10. Long enough for him to realize and make her day even longer! She was so done. She might file a complaint. Then, he walks into her bar and plants the kiss to end all kisses on her!
This was a sweet and sexy short story but is very well written. You feel the chemistry between Jarod and Stephanie. Even though this is a short story I feel that the story was quick and cute
Short, quick read & ends with a happily for now. I like Mari Carr's books most of the time. No errors.
Party Naked is a fabulous contemporary romance by Mari Carr. Ms. Carr has provided readers with a well-written book. The characters are fun and lovable. Stephanie is having a bad luck day and had to replace liquor for the bar/book store. No parking anywhere leads to a little double parking nightmare when she finds hot cop Jarod waiting with a ticket. Stephanie and Jarod's story is loaded with drama, humor and sizzle. I loved reading this book and look forward to my next book by Mari Carr. Party Naked is book 1 of the Cocktales Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
This was a fun romp with a big dose of emotion at the end.
I liked the way the relationship started fast and then slowed down while they got to know each other.
It felt like something that could happen for real.
Jarod and Stephanie set off more fireworks than the Fourth of July whenever they're around each other. Unfortunately it's not all sunshine and roses. He wants more than she's capable of giving at least in the relationship department. It takes a battle of differing opinions over lust vs love to finally move the needle in his direction.
Stumbled across this looking for something to read tonight. Have to say I was pleasantly surprised and thoroughly enjoyed the whole story. Might have to check the others in the series.
