She’s been fooled before by sweet words and hot kisses

Kelly Turner loves being a florist, and being asked to take the lead on the new site for the town’s festival is an honor. If only she didn’t have to work closely with the town player, Tate Prentice. After being burned once by a serial cheater, her inconvenient attraction toward Tate needs to be nipped in the bud.

Tate Prentice’s focus is on ensuring his father recovers fully from his stroke and making sure the family’s peach farm continues to thrive. When his brother nominates the farm to be the satellite site for the festival, he’s less than impressed. The only good thing is he'll be working with Kelly – even though he knows she’ll never give him a second glance, not with his reputation.

The more time Kelly spends with Tate, the more she sees the man behind the reputation. Can she trust her instincts, or will her heart be broken once again?

Just okay, I guess

I really couldn't get engaged with any of the characters in this story. Both of the brothers were more than a little immature, especially Tyler. The 'love story' for me just didn't have any sizzle or spark to draw me in. The plot was rather plot-less. I finally resorted to skimming to just get it over with. I won't be buying any more of the series.

Amazing Love

One Hot Texas Summer (The Prentice Brothers of Sweet Ridge) by Nicole Flockton is a wonderful love story. The characters are so life-like that you would think you are part of the novel itself. This novel is a shame me once kind of novel where the main female character guards her heart the next time. This novel is a second chance at love type, and you will be amazed at the characters and their stories. Nicole Flockton takes second chance romance to a whole new level in One Hot Texas Summer.

Dating is tough sometimes

This is a romance about a couple of people who like each other but don’t seem to really want to. Some misconceptions due to rumors and people’s attitudes makes Kelly steer clear of Tate. It doesn’t help that Tate has been in her flower shop more than once a week buying bouquets of flowers. Kelly assumes it’s for a girl, little does she know that’s not why he is frequenting her shop, it’s actually to just make someone smile and feel happy.

The romance and trials that Kelly and Tate experience make you love the characters more. This book was easy to get into and reading it just made my heart melt. When you find the right one, it really is good to open up your heart and let them in. Loved it!!

Sweet, hot, and fast

You ever want something you know you shouldn't? Well that's Kelly in this story. Shes attracted to Tate, the younger than her, handsome town player. Well that's what the rumor is around town anyways. When they're forced to work together for Founders Day, they realize they're wrong in assuming and realize they cant deny the sparks that fly between them.
I really enjoyed this story. A woman who is independent but still wants a man to do the small acts of chivalry. A man with so much on his shoulders and doesn't know how to say no or act when offered help and support.

These two were great and I can't wait to read more in this series as these brothers are all so different.

A great summer story

When you have been burnt in the past, can you trust your heart with someone else. Kelly needs to believe that love can happen and her fairytale can end with Tate or can it?

Kelly has had her heart broken and left the big city and returned to Sweet Ridge, there she has opened a florist a job she absolutely loves. Tate has had to take on the honour of running the Peach Farm when his dad has had a stroke but with the harvest approaching and his brother volunteering the farm for the Founder's Day parade will he have time for all he needs to do.

Kelly and Tate need to work together for the parade but what is this chemistry between them and will they give in and both give love a chance, you will have to read the story to see what happens.

This is the first book I have read by this author and I loved the story and the characters. Kelly although comes across as a independent, sassy woman there is a real vulnerability that I think we all have to just be loved for who she is and is it wrong to dream for the white picket fence and 2.5 children. Tate's character was an eye opener from the womaniser reputation to his really fragile relationship with his brothers, to the devotion he showed to his father who could not fall in love with man.

I can't wait to read the next book in this series and wonder who is the next brother or character to find his way through this wonderful writing.

A sweet, sexy romance!

I really enjoyed this book by Nicole Flockton. The characters were very believable and developed really well. At first I wasn't sure what to make of Tate, but by the end of the story, he had show his true colours - I won't reveal which way that went! I found it very interesting to see the two main characters interacting with their extended families, this helped to give them depth and made them more realistic. Highly recommended!

Gossips most times are never right

Don't believe everything you hear for not all of it is true. Kelly finds that out over time as she gets to know the towns playboy, Tate Prentice. When he starts making weekly visits to her floral shop she can't help but wonder what is being said when the flowers are given to the latest bed buddy of Tate's. When she finds out the truth behind why he buys bouquets weekly she realized that there is more to the man behind all the gossip. Kelly is afraid to dip her toes back into the dating pool after her breakup, especially with a man five years her junior. But age is nothing but a number right?

As for Tate, he's got a lot on his plate. He has recently taken over the day to day operations of his family's peach farm after his father had a stroke. Kelly seems to be the only bright spot in all of the stress he is under.

Although they are attracted to one another, they try their hardest to fight their feelings. But sometimes you just can't ignore fate.

Love is bigger and better in Texas

One Hot Texas Summer (The Prentice Brothers of Sweet Ridge Book 1) by Nicole Flockton

I am drawn to anything that takes place here in Texas period. So of course I had to read this book and I'm glad I did. I throughly enjoyed this book and already looking forward to the second book in this series.

Tate is definitely the type of man a Mama (this one included) wants her daughter to bring home. Well mannered, respectful. loves his family and willing to do anything for them even when it messes things up for him.

Kelly has most of her life in order. Successfully business and happy for the most part. She wants to find love but not willing to put herself out there after getting her heart broken.

Kelly and Tate just work well together as friends and more. They had a sweet chemistry that I enjoyed watching (reading) it develop. Can't wait to catch up with them in the next book and to read about the next brother falling.
