Sweet story

It's the perfect love story, with all the perfect ingredients and people (and dog) to make it all come together as it should. Lovely!

Just as good the second time around!

I enjoyed listening to the audio version of this book. I had previously read the book in 2016. It is free on Kindle if you are interested in reading it for yourself.

There is an entire series of books and you may just get hooked on them like I did. Evan goes on a road trip to check a few items off from his bucket list but thanks to a homeless pup he gets side tracked in the small town of a Miller’s Creek. The bucket list is all but forgotten once he meets Dr Sorensen.

This is definitely worth reading- you’ll fall in love with this author like I did.

Definitely take the chance!

Have you ever started reading a certain author because they write a genre you like, only to find out they also write a slightly different one that you ALSO enjoy? Well that’s what happened with this book for me. I adore Nancy’s paranormal cozy mystery books. Like seriously, she’s my fav! But while I’ve been waiting for the next books in her series to come out I figured I would check out some of her other work. Let me tell you, Kiss a Girl in the Rain just confirmed why Nancy Warren really is one of my favorite authors out there right now. This book was an absolute delight to read. And spoiler alert: there’s a dog! (Fastest way to make me want to read a book) The characters were so relatable. It was so well written that I was already casting the characters in my head for a movie. Definitely give it a read, you’ll be happy you did.

Good Romance

Evan a workaholic decides to take a motorcycle ride cross country but gets held up in Oregon. Meeting a beautiful woman helped distract him from being on the road. This audio was easy to listen to. This is one of the few romance books that i like. Nancy Warren is a fantastic writer and you see in every one of her books.

For anyone who loves romance books this one is perfect for you.

Sweet, charming characters. A ride into a small town changes the lives of the residents. Light enjoyable reading. Give this series a CHANCE.

Cute waaay too many kids

You had to pick 11 as your number. Why not 12 or 18. If you are going to go crazy go full on crazy. It was a basic book. Nothing realistic except the rose tree and couples massage. But there is jargon that lawyers and doctors use--just like any job. If I told you I use a dial test gage to ensure a part is in spec you would have no idea what that is. But it sounds like I know what I'm doing. Same difference with other jobs using the professional jargon makes your character seem like they know what they are doing. And for the sake of all that is holy, it's throw or hand-build a piece of pottery depending on how it's made. To throw a plate, you use a bat and center a 2lb ball of wedged clay and you open like you do a cylinder but you never move clay up instead just keep opening up. When you get to the rim which is the tricky part you try to lay it down but not so far down it collapses. Some people make their centered clay almost as big as their finished plate but this leads to trimming a whole lot of excess clay to get the plate to look good. Again when you research and do things you sound like you know what you are talking about.

Light and fun

This book, which tells the tale of two middle aged people, (a lawyer and a doctor), who are evaluating what they truly want from their life, was such a fun story to read. I’m not sure how serious topics like the death of a loved one, career crisis, a homeless and homely dog, and a health scare, can all come together in an entertaining and surprisingly upbeat fashion. Part of the pleasure is the smooth writing style of Nancy Warren. I enjoyed this story very much, and I am looking forward to reading the other books in this series. I read this book in one day and I am eager to start reading Book 2.
