King of Bourbon Street: A Dark Mafia Romance
by Aidèe Jaimes
Whoever controls Bourbon Street, is King.
I was born to rule, made by my father into the ruthless Boss of the Marcone crime family. My seat, a throne made of leather and gunpowder, forged by blood.
Now, a new threat has come to challenge my position, testing me for weakness by sending me the lovely Irish Rose.
Her sweet scent is a lure, her green eyes a weapon meant to seduce me until I lower my guard. And the secrets she holds the final blow meant to bring me to my knees.
I will take sweet Rose and make her mine. But she will never infiltrate more than my bed. Never come near my throne. And I will never let her in my heart.
I am Enzo Marcone, and I am the King of Bourbon Street.
***This is not a standalone novel. It is the first book in the Mafia's Throne duet.***

The book has well developed primary characters as well as great secondary characters. This fast paced book has an intense dark storyline with violence, drama, suspense, and sizzling passion. The book ends in a cliffhanger and the story will be continued in the the next book titled Queen of Deceit.

I love a good book where the man breaks all of his rules just for the one special person. In this case, it is Enzo and Rose. I find that sexy. It was fast-paced and intense. That was one hell of a beginning though.
He is Enzo Marcone: possessive alpha, controlling, protective, the King of Bourbon St. There are always people who want to steal the throne. Enemies are everywhere, who can you trust?
Rose: beautiful with a body for seduction. Her plan was to find find all his weaknesses but what she didn’t plan was the intense chemistry that sparked between them. Will
She be his Delilah?
From the violent beginning to the cliffhanger ending, there is plenty to keep you engaged. Lies, spies, secrets, danger and steam.
Enzo was born to rule the Marcone family and when someone tries to take that throne by sending in Rose to discover his weakness, he plans to make her his. Fast-paced read with loads of drama, suspense and steam. Intense chemistry and very steamy. I really liked it.
This is the story of Enzo, the kingpin of New Orleans and Rose, the woman his enemy sends to seduced him, to find his weakness so he can take Enzo's place.
Well, well! This was very steamy, with an alpha male and an equally active woman, a beautiful mix of delicacy and strength. Enzo himself tries to keep his strong shell but emotions begin to crack it. They are both great characters. I just wished there was something from Rose's perspective, I understand why it needed to be written from Enzo and Dillon's view point, but maybe it would have added even more mystery. Or I'm just loving too much dual pov.
This is dark, but the kind of dark that comes with the life of being the kingpin, it's filled with hot moments, some cute ones and a lot of mystery. By the middle of the book I already knew where it was going but the end is spectacular nevertheless. This book is a celebration of feminine power in all it's forms. Can't wait to read the last book in the duet!
