I Kissed an Earl (and I Liked It)
by Merry Farmer
Lady Marie O’Shea lives life by her own rules…
But her days of running free end when her brother, Lord Fergus O’Shea, returns from England, intent on marrying his sisters off to keep them from being the scourge of the county. And when Marie lands herself in a scandalous amount of trouble, she ends up as the first sister doomed to whatever marriage of convenience her brother can arrange.
Bad boy Christian Darrow is having too much fun to be tied down…
And as the younger son of an earl, he isn’t expected to amount to much. Which is why playing pranks and getting into trouble with Marie the moment they meet is his idea of a good time. Sparks fly between him and Marie and the scandal is totally worth the risk…
…until one prank goes too far.
Can Marie save Christian from the consequences of what was supposed to be a bit of fun? Or will a twist of fate prove that life is more serious than either Marie or Christian ever expected?
A friends to lovers romance that will make you laugh and cry.

Caught in another of her scandalous actions, Marie is forced into a betrothal. Once she learns that the man she'd shared her escapade with was the estate she and her brother were headed, a feeling of joy overcame her. That is until the man's father announced that she would be marrying another man!
I enjoyed this book very much. There is not a full page. Even though it warned me it was spicy , I chose to read it. I just skipped those parts. The author has a very imaginative mind.
This one was just okay for me. It’s quite a lot of tragedy in the story that wasn’t necessary for the HEA.
This seems to be written by “sniggering “ adolescent boys.
These “independent “ women are just irritating. They don’t know their own minds.
Once again a woman finds independence by depending on a male.
The writing is typical of KU. There is more telling than showing.
It’s a pity because in the hands of a competent writer this might have been entertaining.
This is a cute enough book, so I rounded what should be a 3.5 star review up to a 4. This is one of those books that makes you deliberately just not question a lot of what goes on, otherwise you'll give up on it just a couple chapters in. Even for an extremely independent, stubborn woman, there's no way whatsoever that letting a village woman see her stroking and petting a naked man would ever be considered a "prank". The constant references to Lady Coyle, who apparently controls everything, are never explained as to why she has so much input (or why everyone cowtows to her). No explanation is ever given as to why Lady A (the one engaged to Christian) never told her brother about the man she really loved when she found out he was bethrothing her. All in all, I did read through to the end, so it was okay, but I woudn't read it again.
I thoroughly enjoyed it and I highly recommend this book for anyone to read. I couldn’t put it down. I loved it,
Steamy romance; Fergus is determined to marry off his sisters. Marie and Miles are frolicking on the beach and get caught. There are some mixups in betrothals. A prank gone awry with a coach crash almost brings about more mixups. There are two HEA's. Marie gives birth early. Another one might have, too. Marie is the main driving force with Miles a close second. Miles and Marie bring about the second HEA. With yet another prank, of course.
