I am in no way a romance reader. Even so, the storyline was pretty good. Characters were so-so, not that believable. I wish the "powers" were presented sooner rather than strewn throughout.

Reviews
Much as I like paranormal romances - this one is rather underwhelming. Skyla, the heroine, is more annoying than likable, always acting impulsively, without thinking. Even for a start of a series the characters are too little developed, too much about their past and their motives is left in the dark. I found it difficult to read this book to the end, and lost all interest in reading the rest of the story.
Let me start by saying that I didn't finish this book. I made it 50% through, but really lost interest at about 15%.
Just think every YA book ever smashed into one and there is the story. None of the characters are developed. There is a DOUBLE insta love. Everyone is the most gorgeous people ever. The main character is soooo dumb and makes choices that no rational person would. There are secrets that could, you know, save people but of course they can't be shared. The writing is confusing and would rather spend hundreds of words on describing fog then describing action scenes.
It was just too much to stick with.
Got it because it was free.
I've tried to read this series twice now the first time I made it up to book for just a little into it, the second time I almost finished book 7. I loved the characters they were well thought out. Fantastic storyline, but after seven books still working on the original problem / Adventure. This series would have been great if it has been resolved within three or four books the give us a break after seven books and you still haven't resolved the original Quest. Once again I'm moving on forget about the rest of the books.
It was ok, not one of my favorites.
What a great start to an interesting series. I can’t wait to read the next ones to find out what happens to Skyla and the rest of them. I hope to find out more about Gage he seems interesting.
Great Book
