Harmony is rather childlike in my opinion. She doesnt seem very knowledgeable about anything and she just goes with whoever's whim is available. Nothing like what I expected.
Eternal Curse: A New Adult Urban Fantasy Series
by R.L. Wilson
My magic isn’t a gift—it’s a curse, passed down from one generation to the next.
With bills piling up, I signed a contract with a devil in exchange for money. Little did I know the contract is eternal. Whenever I’m summoned, I have to use my magic for illegal operations.
After two years I want out.
When I meet Kato, a Voodoo priest, he promises to release me from my shackles. I'm desperate enough, I selfishly take that chance. It's his life, not mine after all. But the closer I get to Kato, the more I think that losing him might be just as hard to take as this life I'm stuck in.
Now I have two options. Freedom from my magic or freedom from this contract. Either one will be nearly impossible to achieve.
Can Kato free me before everything precious to me is destroyed?
Fans of Patricia Briggs will love this blend of urban fantasy and slow-burn paranormal romance wrapped into one magical adventure in the eternal curse.

It was an entertaining read. Lots of twists, never quite sure where it was going. Ended on a strange note.

This is a simple to read and captivating novel. It grips your attention from the beginning and keeps you reading until the end. It is a fast-paced story. Harmony finds herself signing a contract with Prentiss when she was seventeen. Prentiss, a vampire, and leader in the supernatural world puts a necklace on Harmony and trapping her to continue to work for him against her wish. Harmony also mysteriously meets Kato a Voodoo priest who claims he can help her. Can Kato truly help her or are both Prentiss and Kato only using Harmony for her powers and gifts that she is yet to fully discover. The story will make you think of the actual culprit until the end. I recommend it if you like supernatural story about vampires, dragon, elves, voodoo priest.
Harmony is a healer that thinks she is only signing up for a short contract to help pay her bills but ends up signing for life. The story is amusing as Harmony tries to get out of her contract and save her friends and family. It mixed supernatural with everyday living and an interesting mystery that was introduced that needs to be solved in the series. I was entertained and intrigued to read it in one sitting just to see what Harmony would do next. I received a copy from the author and this is my honest review.
Our heroine is stuck in an eternal contract that she signed in a moment of desperation. So when she is offered a way our, will she leap at it or did she learn from the first mistake?
This is an urban fantasy story with magic, vampires and the like. The story is very well written, with a nicely detailed setting and excellent characters. Our heroine is in a tough spot, but hasn't given up, which at least gives her a fighting chance. I very much enjoyed the depth of the plot here with the different twists and turns it took. I am definitely hooked and looking forward to the next book.
Highly recommended.

Harmony is a magic healer, that in a desperate moment she makes a deal with all powefull Prentiss. But what she thought was a short time commitment, became a life long prison.
Trying to escape this unfair contract, she asks for help to break the curse, but thing are much more dangerous that what they seem.
It was my fist book from R.L. Wilson and I loved it. It's an amazing story with great characters. I'm anxiously waiting to see what happens in book 2.
when Harmony was a teen - she signed a contract with a vampire - years later the vampire is running the town and she's unable to use her magic except to help further his cause. She must come when he wants, go where he wants - and there is no saying no. She is burning herself out magically and is struggling to survive because her work doesn't understand the supernatural world or why she keeps leaving at odd moments. She has two best friends, and a mother with mental illness - and just wants out - when suddenly she meets a man who promises her a way out if she does what she tells him.
this is a bit of a good roller coaster - and it's lovely to watch things progress. I can't wait to see what book two brings. I was lucky to receive this book as an advance reader copy.. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did
