Burning Infidels
by Edmund Pickett
Randall Kahler, rookie FBI analyst, doesn’t like people much. He doesn’t like it when they look directly at him. He doesn’t do small talk. He has one friend and one goal, to catch a shadowy terrorist code named BLONDIE, who may not exist. Kahler’s colleagues think he should really lighten up. The Bureau wants to fire his ass, because he caused trouble in the mandatory gender theory class. Problem is, he keeps finding proof that the terrorist who doesn't exist is really out there...Somewhere. Maybe. Lael de Souza, Kahler's Arabic translator, thinks he's unstable, but at least he doesn't hit on her, like all the other men she's ever known, and besides she has other more pressing problems, such as a very angry ex-husband (a.k.a. “His Highness”) in Saudi Arabia. Stealing his money was bad. Stealing his child was unforgivable, but when she renounced Islam she wrote her own death sentence. The Man With The Fake Passports, who calls himself Martyr, plans to destroy a major city and send fifty thousand infidels to hell without using weapons of mass destruction. To do that he will have to deceive all seventeen intelligence agencies of the United States for more than a year. But when Allah guides you, when His angels fight by your side, nothing is impossible…
