If there was ever a time for someone to step out from behind the shadows it would be the moment Ann Rutherford’s rose-colored glasses began to slip. My heart raced every time a man tried taking advantage of poor Ann. Though her trials were many, I loved watching her find her inner-strength. Patience and perseverance rewarded Ann and her business partner with nothing but the best life has to offer.
I look forward to seeing what happens next at The Beach House Hotel.
Breakfast at The Beach House Hotel
by Judith Keim
Two dumped women, a seaside estate, a chance to start over...
When Ann Rutherford’s husband dumps her for the bimbo in his office, unfairly leaving her without a home or a job, she reluctantly joins forces with Rhonda DelMonte to convert Rhonda’s Florida seaside estate into the small upscale hotel it once was. Ann, quiet and reserved, is no match for brash, bossy Rhonda, who left the family’s New Jersey butcher business after she won the lottery. Amid their struggles to succeed, The Sins of the Children, a soap opera, films a number of episodes at the hotel and things get complicated in unexpected ways when Ann falls for Vaughn Sanders, the star of the show.
A light, “beach read” with humor sprinkled in for readers’ enjoyment. Be sure to read the next books in the series!

Reviews
This story is full of fun characters. It’s a cross between First Wives Club and The Odd Couple. Annie and Rhonda are wonderful together despite their differing backgrounds. I wish the Beach House Hotel really existed! Can’t wait to read Book 2.
well written and held my interest all the way through, clean reading
I couldn't put it down. This book will keep you wondering what is going to happen next. Filled with great characters and a good story line. A great book to read.
Really Enjoyed reading this book
It’s light reading but tells a tale about two woman who reinvent themselves. Allowing their strengths to drive away and over come any obstacles.
One star is generous. Hard to understand how this book received "supposedly" positive reviews. (Bots perhaps?) Badly written, predictable plot & characters. Perhaps the worse books I have ever read . . . why did I read it? For some reason I thought it had to get better . . . (given such positive ratings) . . .a first book. needing time to find it's voice? Never happened. Don't waste your money or your time. I guess there was a reason it was offered as a freebie . . .
Good story. Very entertaining. I read the whole book in one rainy day. Shows that hard work has it's rewards
Ann and Rhonda's story about their renovations on the Be a h House and cottage were interesting. All the characters stories were interesting, engaging.
