Thea has given up everything for a fresh start, just to find a murder on the first day she starts at the campground her grandparents left her. The local police are woefully unskilled and unmotivated, while she must get this murder solved quickly or face the demise of her dreams. Luckily, Thea is smart and has made friends with the right people to help her whip the campground into shape and solve the mystery.
Thea Pagoni is desperate to flee her stress-filled city life for the quiet of the woods after a painful divorce. When her grandmother passes away and leaves her the family campground, it seems like the perfect opportunity to find peace. But not everything is crickets and campfires.
The handyman she was promised is less than handy, the campground has fallen into severe disrepair, and with a dwindling reservation list, there’s no money to make improvements. Things are looking grim, and then a dead hiker makes everything worse. Can Thea find the killer before Cedar Fish Campground is forced to close forever and she loses everything… again?

Great start to what promises to be a fun cozy series. Love the main female character, the hunky handyman/security guard & the quirky denizens of the area.
Great story. Makes one feel as if they are part of the story. Love a book I feel comfortalke reading without all the garbage found in most mystery books.
Quirkey and funny with just the right amount of mystery. Great book!!
I really enjoyed this book. Thea obviously has a back story with her ex-husband and her handyman, Nolan, has secrets too. The characters are so entertaining, especially Hennie with her eyebrow wiggles and Curtis sleeping on the job. Thea needs a fresh start so she leaves her law career behind and takes on her grandparents campground. In the process, she gets involved in a murder investigation and the fun begins.
A great start for a new series
Great story to begin the series, mystery a little romance.
Having the map to help picture the area made it more interesting to me. Good character development and a surprising event to add mystery to the story.
