Great new series!

Honestly I love everything this author writes! But with this one, well its different in a way that shes never written a story. It had the mystery to it and I had a hunch and dismissed it quickly and I shouldnt have, that takes a good author to steer you so close then away to keep you on your toes.
I love this town and the characters. I mean with a name like Sunshine, you won't forget her, and I can tell we will get some great books from this already!

loved it!

Betrayal at the Beach: A Cozy Christian Mystery (Dangerous Curves Book 1) by K.L. Montgomery was a book full of mystery and suspense. It is a great cozy read.

When tragedy hits the Bryce Beach Public Library, librarian Sunshine Baker must choose between solving the mystery and losing her job. Sunshine feels unusually equipped despite having no prior detective experience, thanks to her ninja YA librarian talents and all those Nancy Drew books she read as a youngster. Sunshine and her colleagues explore Bryce Beach for suspects, clues, and the stolen riches with the assistance of children's librarian Molly Simmons and cataloguer Evangeline Dupree. Can Sarah and her team reclaim the funds raised at the library's annual fundraising gala, as well as Bryce Beach's most valuable historical item, the Bible with the signatures of the town's founding fathers?

I loved every page of it. I can’t wait to read the rest of the other books in this series.

I loved this mystery and the main character!

I loved this 1st mystery book in the Dangerous Curves series!

The characters were well thought out, and I especially loved Sunshine Baker, the intelligent and humorous main character. She’s like the Nancy Drew of the modern-day librarian world. How could you not enjoy Sunshine’s inner dialogue as she checks off each clue in this delightful mystery?

I was thoroughly entertained. Best of all, K. L. Montgomery added enough suspense and plot twists to hold my interest until the final page.
I can’t wait to read the next book in this series!

Amazing book

Oh, My Goodness! I could not put down the book. I could relate to the main character and some of her problems and living in a small town. The story was easy to follow and I could not guess the ending of the mystery. For me the book as a good homework break to be able to relax and then get back to it. I cannot wait for the next one to see what happens and where the author, K.I. Montgomery, takes the series.

A wonderful cozy mystery!

5 Stars

Betrayal at the Beach is the first book in the Dangerous Curves series by K.L Montgomery. This is something a little different to what Ms. Montgomery has done in the past- as this is a cozy Christian mystery, so I wasn’t sure of what to expect, but knew anything she wrote was going to be good- and of course, it was.
I loved the setting, Bryce Beach, a small town beach community- as well as all the quirky and interesting inhabitants of the town. It was the perfect setting and cast for a cozy mystery, so I was hooked right from the start.
Sunshine Baker is one of the local librarians who has worked incredibly hard on the annual fundraising gala hoping to raise enough funds to keep the library running. As the night arrives, Sunshine hopes everything will run smoothly as there is a lot riding on the night’s success. Just when Sunshine begins to think the night couldn’t have been better, a robbery brings the festivities to a screeching halt. Not only has the thief taken the large amount of donations, but also a priceless antique that is steeped in historical significance for all the township. It is now up to Sunny, and her friends, to get to the bottom of it all, to find the thief and return the funds and heirloom, before it’s too late.
This was such a fun little adventure and a fantastic start to a wonderful new series. I can’t wait for book #2.

Thank you, K.L Montgomery!

This was a fun one!

This is not the typical story I have come to expect from Montgomery, but it was just as good as any other. The storyline is intriguing, the characters are well developed, and the worldbuilding is great. I can picture the scene, hear their voices, and just imagine the whole story. It's not exceptionally serious while also not a comedy, but it's fun and enjoyable.

feel-good fun read

K.L. Montgomery’s Betrayal at the Beach: A Cozy Christian Mystery is the first book in the Dangerous Curves series. It is a YA story of a young amateur sleuth on a quest for answers. I am sure Nancy Drew fans will love this story. In true KL style the message in the story is about body positivity. This cozy mystery is a feel-good fun read.

Loved the relatable main character

Betrayal at the Beach is an endearing tale of mystery and suspense. The main character has a wonderful, self-deprecating sense of humor that adds a lightness to the criminal tale. I love the interwoven support system that Sunshine has in her not-so-perfect life. She is very relatable and empathetic. It’s a feel good story that will have you guessing until the very end!
